Hi, Iā€™m Kari Moennig.

I have been in the mental health field for 20 years. My graduate and undergrade degrees are in Counseling Psychology. I graduated in 2005 with a Masters degree from Prescott College.

My studies, research, and thesis focus explored forgiveness and the process of grief. My own losses have deepened my understanding of the grief process. I have sat on the other side, as a client, and know the journey of self discovery.

Therapy is a powerful tool that allows us to deepen our understanding of ourselves and others. It is possible for anyone to experience healing regardless of traumas, flaws, losses, or circumstances; it all begins with understanding and accepting who you are.

I have advanced training in EMDR (an evidence based trauma reprocessing technique) and Gottman's couples therapy. Additionally, I am licensed as both a Processional Counselor and a Certified Mental Health Counselor, and certified yoga instructor.

You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.
